Letters from the Ladies

I have had the privilege of taking the gospel of Jesus Christ with the love of God into the jails.

I have truly seen a move of God among these precious women. Many of them have already been born again; but because of wrong choices and bad relationships they have been incarcerated. I tell them that it’s not God’s doing that they are there, we do reap the harvests of our choices. I tell them that this time is God’s provision for them. They have an opportunity to start over fresh and begin making good decisions for themselves and their families.

The ladies want change in their lives. I take my workbook, “Who You are in Christ”, with me to teach them God’s love and that He is for them and not against them. I have truly seen the glory of God in the cell block.

I have had the privilege of leading many ladies to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. One lady was a Buddhist. I explained that Jesus would never leave her, tears began to come to her eyes and she repeated “He will never leave me?” Each time I saw her after that she would repeat again, “He will never leave me,” but now with assurance.

God has given me such love for these ladies that when I go in it’s like a family reunion.

I would encourage you to not forget to pray for the people in jail. Many times because we don’t see them we do forget that there are 1000’s behind bars. Pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to reveal our Jesus to them. Pray too for those called to go in and minister that God would help them do so.
